It’s final week, and sure—the pressure’s thick in the air. But not for the reason you might think. I know what you’re imagining: brutal exams worth 70% of your grade, sleepless nights, caffeine-fueled panic. But hold up. That’s not the Zippy way.
Here at Akron, final week isn’t a gauntlet of despair. It’s more like the victory lap. Why? Because we’ve already done the heavy lifting. Most of our finals are only worth 20–30% of the grade—if there’s even a final at all! That’s right. Some of our courses skip them entirely.
Can you believe it? Finals week without the meltdown. Because here, the focus is where it should be—on learning, not on last-minute cramming or sky-high stress. We’re not just surviving the semester. We’re finishing strong, with our heads high and our minds sharp. That’s the Zippy spirit.
